We are half way through the second season of the delightful Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries and episode six, ‘Marked for Murder’, shows us that even back in the 1920’s, the dear folk of Melbourne were just as obsessed with AFL as they are today.
Episode 5 was all about fashion and fashionistas. I was hoping SBS’s Lee Lin Chin may have made a special appearance but no dice. Beginning with the death of an old lady, who had been stabbed with a hair pin.
The wide brimmed abomination is back but the pin stripe suit looked delectable on the ever charismatic and sexy Det. Jack (Nathan Page). Last…
I can’t say for sure what really happened in Episode 3 of Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries but I’m sure there was a crime and it was solved in a witty and charming way by Miss Fisher (Essie Davis) and Det. Jack.
Episode two of our delightful Miss Fisher (Essie Davis) began with a spooky séance which lead into that boppy intro music that had Betty the cat and I toe tapping in our lounge room.
She’s baaaaaack!!!! Here is the first installment all of us Fishy fans have been busting our chops to see! Even Betty the cat has been getting a little cranky in anticipation!
So, we bid farewell to the sexiest beard in television history and hope Craig McLachlan gets his gear off in season two as well as continuing to solve murderers in his own unique way. It’s The Power Of Craig (TPOC) that will always win us over in the end.
The story was moving a bit quicker this week in the second last episode of The Doctor Blake Mysteries titled ‘All That Glitters’. It was wonderful to see a very drunk Lucien (Craig McLachlan) tell the whole town what he thought of the visiting British Consul.
With only two episodes of The Doctor Blake Mysteries left one must ponder if this new series will be commissioned for a second season. Not much has happened storyline wise in these past eight episodes but there have been many great crimes and many great killers caught by Lucien’s (Craig McLachlan) cleverness.
